- وأجدر من أشركتم في نعيمكمWorthy is he with whom you share your bounty
- وإذا جزعت من الذي هو فائتWhen I was distressed by what had passed
- وإذا رأيت الفضل فاز به الفتىWhen I Saw Merit, The Young Man Won It

- يا من محياه كاسمه حسن

- يسر بخزن المال قوم ولم أكنEasy to hoard money are some, but not I

- يقولون لي ما بال عينك مذ رأتThey say to me, what has happened to your eye since it saw
- يهيج مسرتي جرب بكفيMy joy is stirred by a cup in my palm
