تأَن فالمرءُ إن تَأَنَّى
أَدركَ لا شكَّ ما تَمَنَّى
Patience leads surely to attainment,
No doubt, of what one desires,
وما لمُستَوفِزٍ عَجُول
حَظِّ سوَى أنه تَعَنَّى
While hasty zeal begets nothing
But repeated frustration.
