رأيتُ العودَ مشتقاً

من العود بإتقانِ

I saw the lute yearning

For the lute with perfection

فهذا طِيبُ آنافٍ

وهذا طِيبُ آذانِ

So this is pleasing to the breath

And that is pleasing to the ears
