لائمي في التنائي فرط بكاء
My blamers blame me for excessive weeping,

The people of passion are the living ones,
لعائشة غدت للعين فرضا
Aisha has become an obligation for the eye
إلام سهاد القلب والناس نوم
The heart's ardour slumbers though people sleep
كففت انسجام الدمع فانهل وانتثر
My flowing tears are held back, so they pour and scatter
غصن رطيب ناعم متأود
A soft, gentle branch, bending
هنيئا لمجنون وصاحب عزة
Congratulations to Majnun and to the honorable friend
إلى ماذا العيون بما العيون
To what do eyes with what eyes
بشراكم بهذه القصيدة

نفحات فضل الله هذي شمسها
These breezes are the rays of Allah's grace
أأهل الحب هل لكم دواء
O people of love, is there a cure
إن عيني من تذكر خود
My eyes from remembering her
إني رأيت بدورتم أشرقت
In your homes I saw the dawn break
لو استطعنا قطعنا حبل فرقتكم
