1. Passion's fires within my heart are raging
Whenever the beloved's love flames up

2. My tears flow freely in accord
No comfort in stillness or movement I found

3. Grief and joy perpetually alternate
Sleep is fractured, slumber denied

4. No flavour in food or drink I detect
Silence or speech bring no peace

5. When musk on her exudes at dawn
As she smiles with dew-wetted lips

6. She could eclipse sunrise if she appeared
Her beauty would darken the dawn

7. Her figure rivals the tender gazelle
Dew glistening on soft dunes it roams

8. Doe-eyed, gazelle graceful her cheek
Where shadows play when she smiles

9. Her lips like rosebuds when she laughs
Delight my soul when she beams

10. No other can ever compare to my love
She is peerless among all ladies

11. My tears for her have their own place
A station unparalleled and sublime

12. My Lord protects this darling of mine
As He shields the valiant and brave

13. Knowledge he mastered, and virtue defined
Excelling all people, as wished and desired

14. Knowledge he gained, a firm pillar became
Generosity he showed, its brilliant flame

15. Justice he secured, its strong base constructed
Faith he upheld, its guide and defender

16. Truth he revived, as its devoted leader
Ignorance defeated, to nothingness rendered

17. Noble traits, glories no other attains
Since infancy, virtues he contained

18. Feeding guests, orphans sustaining
Food unmatched, all pains soothing

19. Quenching thirsts, clothing the bare
Endless his giving, exhaustion unheard

20. Boundless his generosity, unrestrained
Goodwill he spreads, comfort unchained

21. With wisdom's rope goodness hauled in
While evil's cord severed and worn thin

22. A sea undisturbed by turbulence wild
Every valiant warrior feels like a child

23. Giving to widows, the poor aids
Glory on him always descends

24. Patience unchanged despite the defiant
Steadfastness firm, people compliant

25. Chosen by God, his Sir proclaims
Obeying the Merciful, his soul inflames

26. Fiercely protecting what is sacrosanct
Burning foes, with sword to disdain

27. Daily he gives all he can conjure
Serving people, their needs securing

28. Crowds come reap his kindness pure
In his mansion find rest, a sure cure

29. Seek him my friend, and witness his grace
His abode will tell you of his place

30. All duties fulfilled, no flaws detected
Though heavens and earth as scrolls erected

31. And trees as pens, people recording
His virtues never fully captured

32. A tenth they could not recount
For his merits have no limit or count

33. My master, greetings to you from me
Unequaled salutations, sincerely

34. By your grace, knowledge and faith sought
Forgiveness for my heavy sins I implore

35. May Allah's peace and blessings descend
Upon the seal of messengers, till the end
