أحاطت بغايات العلا والمفاخر
The aspirations of glory and pride
ما زلت أضرب بالقنا المنآد
I still strike with the sharp sword
ما شام برق جنبيه مسترفد
The lightning in his side didn't shine
فتح يطاول فتحه الأحقابا
A conquest whose conquest extends through the eras
يا من يجدي لمن يجدي
O you who avails for him who avails
أدركت آمال الشريعة في العدا
I have realized the hopes of the Law in vengeance
عدوكم بخطوب الدهر مقصود
Your enemy is destined for the vicissitudes of fate
خليلي دعوى برحت بخفاء
My beloved departed stealthily
زعموا يا خلوف أنك خلف
They claimed, O faithless one, that you are faithless,
أهدي إليك ثناء العرب والعجم
I bestow upon you the praise of Arabs and non-Arabs
إن الإمام هو الطبيب وقد شفى
The Imam is the healer, and he has cured
هذا ابن حجاج تفاقم أمره
This is Hijjaj's son who suffered to the brink
أطاعك صرف الدهر في مهج العدا
Fate obeyed you in the battles of enemies,
أياب الإمام حياة الأمم
The return of the Imam is the life of nations
جادوا وصالوا وصادوا واحتبوا فهم
They struggled, they connected, they collided, and they loved, so they
أعليت دين الواحد القهار
You have exalted the religion of the One Almighty
لواؤك منصور وسعدك غالب
Your banner is victorious and your fortune conquering
هو الفتح أعيا وصفه النظم والنثرا
It's a triumph beyond description in prose or verse,
شملت ببقائكم النعم
Your presence has brought prosperity,
است الحبارى ورأس النسر بينهما
The ink of scholars and the head of an eagle between them
قضى لك الله بالتأييد والظفر
May God grant you support and victory,
بسيفك صال الدين في الشرق والغرب
With your sword, religion prospered in East and West
لمن الخيول كأنهن سيول
Horses like floods
شاء الإله حماية الإسلام
God willed the protection of Islam
يابن السبيل إذا مررت بتادلا
O traveler, if you pass by Tadla
ببسيط العالم تعتضد
You support the world with simplicity,
برء الإمام حياة الخلق كلهم
The Imam's wellbeing is the life of all people
كانت محل أناس قبلنا فخلوا
It was once home to people before us, but they left
أمير المؤمنين ومن عليه
O Commander of the Faithful, and those who support Islam
صنع جميل جل عن أن يوصفا
A noble deed, too lofty to describe,
إني لأعجب من خساسة عقله
I am amazed at the baseness of his mind,
شد الإله بكم للدين أركانا
God has strengthened religion with your pillars
لهجت بذكرك السن المداح
My years have sung your praise
مشى اللوم في الدنيا طريداً مشرداً
Blame wandered the world exiled and banished,
نصر بكل سعادة مقرون
A victory accompanied by every joy
عن أمركم يتصرف الثقلان
يا سيدي جاءتك رفعة شاعر
غزوا فما امتنعوا صالوا فما انتفعوا
الدهر منا في مديحك أفصح
وعلوي الجمال إذا تبدى
قينة في فاس تدعى عمرة
ضربت عليك لواءها العلياء
بجد عزمك نال الدين ما طلبا
قد أصليت نارها العداة
أطلع الدهر منك بدراً منيرا
ما في الحياة لمن ناواكم طمع
جلت عن المدح واستغنت فضائله
لقد كنت تحكي في التجهم مالكاً
فتح مبين جل أن يتخيلا
كانت من الشمس الصعاب فراضها
لك النصر حزب والمقادير أعوان
إذا كان أملاك الزمان أراقماً
أضاء لنا بغرتك الزمان
حللت من العلا أسمى ذراها
