1. It's a triumph beyond description in prose or verse,
Bringing glad tidings to all Muslims across the earth.

2. Its fame has spread throughout the world,
Making beauty rejoice and evil lament.

3. It's distinguished by steeds and shining blades
The least of which dazzles sun and moon alike.

4. The misguided tyrant has led his followers to ruin,
And ignorance, into utter devastation.

5. It tells the story of Iblis and his cursed horde,
Whom he disowned when misfortune struck at Badr.

6. Passion drove him, wandering aimlessly ahead,
Forgetful of glory and honor.

7. Seeing death take the heroes around him,
He fled in terror to the limits of the fray.

8. Yet the sword of a rebel brought him death,
Though he hadn't finished his wretched life.

9. Of those whose protection time had destroyed,
And who sipped the bitterness of losing comrades,

10. Thousands had become easy prey,
Their homes now empty ruins.

11. The winds of fate blew them away,
Grinding them into dust scattered by the gales,

12. With every vulture carrying their limbs,
Its belly now their grave.

13. How the fool saw the fruits of his folly,
And the traitor, the recompense for his treachery!

14. He who thought all of Spain would be his
If he shot his arrows and never missed the mark.

15. But Wednesday's battle pried from him his wishes;
He hoped for nothing he once ruled.

16. Cast out by Rome, his only salvation
Was when the embers of death burned him in betrayal.

17. Wretched is he, in life and in death!
Broken, in life and even in recovery!

18. The paths to reach him were smoothed
By a multitude of swords - many killed, few captured.

19. Patience brought him the fruit it always yields
For the protectors of guidance and faith, as they summon victory.

20. Of the third he inherited from his ancestors,
He surrendered stars of fortresses that rival the shining stars.

21. From the shining, blossoming Nirat,
He drew radiance and nobility,

22. Though he did not name them "necklace" or "eagle."
Fleeing the evil, he raced ahead anxiously,

23. As if he could outrun the grasp of sorrow.
Of those whose protection time had destroyed,

24. And who sipped the bitterness of losing comrades,
Their women told of their glory in adversity,

25. As their heroes had, amidst ruin.
At times its sea laughs, at others complains -

26. The horizons too narrow for its flood.
Guardian of truth, its defender is Muizz -

27. Granting refuge on land and sea to his foes.
With angels' aid the lofty citadel is held;

28. His strongholds compel his enemies' surrender.
Seeing varied paths, he shunned sin,

29. And walked the best, smoothing the way.
If another stood for Islam as he did,

30. Gratitude would be obligatory, and praise but remembrance.
Sincerity in private and public was his mark -

31. A gift from the Knower of secrets and proclamations.
His army of endurance and piety

32. Repulses the attacking hordes.
Through him, God brought relief to the land and its people,

33. And made the banners of conquest his treasure.
Every price falls short in describing him,

34. And the mind exhausts itself seeking his ultimate limit.
Through the blessings of the righteous renewing Imam,

35. Islam unsheathed its sword and uprooted disbelief.
With divine victory ever at hand
