1. A victory accompanied by every joy
The world attained its wishes and faith through it

2. A presentation from one whose existence bore witness
That he remains steadfast in his giving

3. A precious pearl that adorned the world with it
Bestowed upon a precious royal pearl

4. Fear of him overwhelms every opponent
Even if China were to rise against him

5. And flames ignite wherever his resolves turn
To war, as described for us at Siffin

6. If the Berbers at dawn become a nation
In its injustice, so he subdues it like Harun

7. From Qais of Ailan, whose swords
Forever rage and protect

8. Every tribe submitted to them in pride
As befitting those who do not profess faith

9. And it sufficed them that one of them was proudly
The essence and secret of existence

10. A king - if the times grow turbulent in fear
Pacification and assurance fail to calm him

11. He inflicted clamor upon the people of misguidance
So they have lament beneath which is groaning

12. And he flowed to a time not traversed
By any king, nor reached by any assumptions

13. And of wonders is that this stingy era
Would bestow the likes of him upon creation

14. Bearing the burdens of all people, gleeful
Where preferences and desires intersect

15. In his rest, to one requesting and transgressing
Daily dew and tumult of wishes and want

16. Excuse me Abu Ya'qub if praising you
Has exhausted praise, though it has arts

17. Prose cannot reach some feats
That preserved the sublime for you, nor verse

18. How much praise for you remains concealed
Weighing all praise and adorning it

19. If none were peerless but you, there would not suffice
For it the Trustworthy nor the Secured

20. What I have said was awaiting its time
Until it came, and for all things there is a time

21. Your command which is protection
And glory that does not cease, nor empowerment
