- أبلغ نجاحا فتى الفتيان مألكةTell the youth of success fulfilled
- أبو صالح من أتى بابهAbu Salih Man Ataba Babahu
- أترى الزمان يسرنا بتلاق
- أتم الله نعمته عليه
- أحسن من تسعين بيتا سدىBetter than ninety verses vainly strung
- إذا اجتمع الآفات فالبخل شرهاWhen misfortunes gather, stinginess is the worst of them
- إذا جدد الله لي نعمةIf God Renews a Blessing for Me
- إذا رزق الفتى وجها وقاحاWhen the youth is endowed with impudence
- أرض مربعة حمراء من أدم
- أرضيهم قولا ولا يرضوننيMy Friends Are Not Content With My Words
- أرى الدهر يخلقني كلماI See Time Creating Me Anew
- أزيد في الليل ليلI Long for More Night in the Night
- أسأت إذ أحسنت ظني بكمI Wish I Had Not Thought Well of You
- أطاهر إني عن خراسان راحلI seek Your Forgiveness from Khorasan, I am Leaving
- أعاذل ليس البخل مني سجيةMy Friend
- أعظم ذنبي عندكم وديMy Greatest Sin in Your View
- اعلمي يا أحب شيء إلياKnow You, My Dearest
- اغتنم جدة الزمان الجديدSeize the Seriousness of New Time
- أقفر إلا من نبات منزلهEmpty Except for the Vegetation of His Home
- أقلي فإن اللوم أشكل واضحهHighlight Me, for Blame is the Darkest of Stains
- الحمد لله المعيد المبديAlhamdulillah Al-Mu'eed Al-Mubdi
- الحمد لله شكراPraise be to God, thanks
- الدمع يمحو ويدي تكتبTears Erase While My Hand Writes
- الشيب ينهاه ويزجره
- الصعو يصفر آمنا ومن اجله
- العسليات التي فرقتThe Honeyed Ones Who Were Separated
- العين بعدك لم تنظر إلى حسنAfter You, My Eyes Have Seen No Beauty
- الله أكبر والنبي محمد
- الورد يضحك والأوتار تصطخبThe Roses Laugh and the Strings Tremble
- إلى الله فيما نابنا نرفع الشكوىTo God, for what has befallen us, we raise our complaints
- أما الرغيف لدى الخوانThe loaf of bread with the monks
- أما ترى اليوم ما أحلى شمائله
- أما ترى شجرات الورد مظهرةRoses in Bloom
- أمسك فديتك عن عتاب محمدHold back your reproach from Muhammad
- أميل مع الذمام على ابن أميMy Son
- إن تعف عن عبدك المسيء ففي
- إن خس حظي من مال تخونهMy Fortune's Wretched Share is Lost Through Treachery
- إن كان لي ذنب فلي حرمةIf I Have Sinned, I Still Have Dignity
- إن كنت جاهلة بقومي فاسأليIf You Are Ignorant of My People Then Ask
- أنت كالكلب في حفاظك للود
- أنشأتها بركة مباركةBlessed Spring Created It
- انظر فعن يمناك ويحك عالم
- أنفس حرة ونحن عبيدFree Souls While We Are Slaves
- إنما ذنبي إليهن المشيب
- إني حممت ولم أشعر بحماكاI was consumed with passion though I did not feel your fever
- أهلا وسهلا بك من رسول
- أوصيك خيرا به فإن له
- أي ركن وهى من الإسلامWhat pillar weakened from Islam?
- أي فتى لحظك ليس يمرضه
- بالله يا ذات الجمال الفائق

- جاوزت نهربين والنهروانا
- جزعت للشيب لما حل أولهGrieved at the First Signs of Grey Hair
- جسم كعود أراك
- جمعت أمرين ضاع الحزم بينهماI gathered two matters, decisiveness was lost between them
- حجوا مواليك يا برهان واعتمرواPerform Hajj for your Masters, O Burhan, and Perform Umrah
- حروف إذا لاءمت بالعين بينها
- حسرت عني القناع ظلوم
- خفي الله فيمن قد تبلت فؤادهGod has hidden in the one whose heart has withered

- طلبت هدية لك باحتيالي

- عبدك الفتح كابد الليل حتىYour Servant Al-Fath Endured the Night
- عجبت كل العجبI am filled with wonder
- عجلت وما كل العواذل يعجلI hastened, though not all lovers hasten
- عجنا المطي ونحن تحت الحاجرWe kneaded the mud while under the rock
- عشية حياني بورد كأنه
- عفا الله عنك ألا حرمة
- علة البدر راقبي الله فيهO moon's flaw, fear God in it
- عيون المها بين الرصافة والجسر
- غاضت بدائع فطنة الأوهامThe Flower of Imagination is Lost
- غصن من الآبنوس أبدىA cypress branch's everlasting
- فأل سرى بسبيله المتوكلThe Trusting Soul Continues On Its Way
- فما مات من كنت ابنه لا ولا الذي
- فهمته جيش وعزمته سرىUnderstood it an army and resolved it secretly
- فوق طرف كالطرف في سرعة الشددAbove an extremity like the extremity in swiftness of firmness
- قالت حبست فقلت ليس بضائرShe Said I Imprisoned Her, So I Said It's Not Harmful
- قالوا أتاك الأمل الأكبر
- قالوا عشقت صغيرة فأجبتهم
- قد فاز ذو الدنيا وذو الدينHe Who Has the World and Religion Has Won
- قل للخليفة جعفر يا ذا الندىSay to Caliph Ja'far, O You of Dew
- قلب يمل على لسان ناطقA heart weighs heavy on a speaking tongue
- قلت لها حين أكثرت عذلي
- كأنه وولاة العهد تتبعهAs You Wish My Masters

- كم قد تجهمني السرى وأزالنيHow the night journeys have wearied me, and displaced me,
- كم لطمة في حر وجهك صلبةKam latmat fi harr wajhuk saliba
- كنت في مجلس فقال مغنيI was in an assembly when the bard
- كنت مشتاقا وما يحجزنيLonging for you, nothing holds me back
- لا تأمنن على سري وسركمDo not trust me with your secret and your secrets
- لا ياس على الدنيا أناسThere is No Hope for Life's People
- لا يرعك المشيب يا ابنة عبد اللهO daughter of Abdullah, let not grey hair alarm you
- لا يمنعنك خفض العيش تطلبهDo Not Let Poverty Prevent You From Seeking It
- لاذ بها يشتكي إليهاSeeking Refuge in Her, He Complains to Her
- لجلسة مع أديب في مذاكرةA Session with a Writer in Study
- لعائن الله متابعات
- لعمرك ما الناس أثنوا عليكYour Life, People Never Praised You
- لعمرك ما كل التعطل ضائرBy Your life not all leisure is harmful
- لك وجه كآخر الصك فيهFor You a Face Like the Seal's End
- للبس ثوبين باليينWearing Two Worn Out Garments
- للدهر إدبار وإقبالFor Time There is Regress and Progress
- لم تذقني حلاوة الإنصاف
- لم يبق منك سوى خيالك لامعاRemains of You But Your Radiant Shadow
- لم يضحك الورد إلا حين أعجبهThe Rose Only Laughed When It Was Pleased
- لم ينصبوا بالشاذياخ ضبيحةThey Did Not Erect a Victim at Al-Shadhiach
- لما بدا أيقنت بالعطبWhen Misery Began, I Knew of Defect
- لو تنصلت إليناIf You Were to Join Us
- لو كان عجبك مثل لبك لم يكنIf Your Love Was Like Your Tears, It Would Not Have Been
- لو كان للشكر شخص يبينIf Gratitude Had a Person
- ليلي علي بهم طويل سرمد
- ما أحسن العفو من القادرForgiveness is Most Beautiful from the Able
- ما أخطأ الورد منك لوناThe rose did no wrong in its hue
- ما أراني أنال وعدك إلاI do not see your promises fulfilled
- ما الجود عن كثرة الأموال والنشبThe Generosity of Spirit
- ما زلت أسمع أن الملوك
- ما شئت من رجل نبيلNoble Man, As You Wish
- ما ضره لو وفي بما وعداWhat Harm if he Keeps his Promise
- ما كنت أحسب أن الخبز فاكهة
- ماذا تقولين فيمن شفه سهر
- متى عطلت رباك من الخيامWhen shall my soul find rest from camps and tents
- مرت فقلت لها مقالة مغرمShe passed by, so I spoke to her my words of passion:
- من سبق السلوة بالصبرWho Preceded the Bucket with Patience
- من وراء الشباب شيب حثيت
- نزلنا بباب الكرخ أفضل منزل
- نطق البكا بهوى هو الحق
- نفحات الراح والتفاحBreezes of Comfort and Apples
- نميل على جوانبه كأناWe are One
- هذا العقيق فعد أيThis ruby
- هل لك يا هند في الذي زعمواDo you have any roses now, Hindi
- هي النفس ما حملتها تتحمل
- هيهات فات مرزأ وتخلفت
- وإذا جزى الله امرأ بفعالهIf God Rewards a Man for His Deeds
- وارحمتا للغريب في البلدMercy and Compassion for the Stranger in a Foreign Land
- وثقت بالملك الواثقI trusted the confident king
- ورقعة جاءتك مثنية
- وسارية ترتاد أرضا تجودها
- وطئنا رياض الزعفران وأمسكت
- وعائب للسمر من جهلهThe Rose Complains of the Ignorance of the Night
- وقائل أيهما أنورA questioner asked, which of the two shines brighter
- ولكن الجواد أبا هشام
- ولما أبت عيناي أن تكتما البكا
- ولما رمى بالأربعين وراءه
- ولي حبيب أبدا مولعMy Everlasting Love
- وليلة كأنها نهارA Night Like Daylight
- وليلة كحلت بالنقس مقلتهاMy Friend
- ومشترك الفؤاد له أنينThe companion of my heart has a moan
- ومن ذا الذي ترضى سجاياه كلهاAnd who is there whose qualities all please us?
- ونحن أناس أهل سمع وطاعةWe are people of hearing and obedience
- يا أبا أحمد لا ينجيMy Friend Ahmed
