لَو كانَ لِلشُّكرِ شَخصٌ يَبينُ

إِذا ما تَأَمَّلَهُ الناظِرُ

If gratitude had a visible form

That the onlooker could discern

لَبَيَّنتُ شُكرِيَ حَتّى تَراهُ

فَتَعلَمَ أَنّي اِمرُؤٌ شاكِرُ

I would embody my thankfulness

So you know I'm a grateful person
