- ترى في المعالي عنده ما يزينها

- جلم من صفاه كاد بأن يخفي
- حبيسك ممن أتلف الحب قلبه

- خلوف من الريحان راقت كأنهاThe Wind Has Left the Sweet-Basil Withered As If

- ذبت حتى لو انني كنت سرا
- ذهب الوفاء فلا وفاء يرتجى
- سوسن كالسوالف البيض لاحتRoses Gleamed Like White Pearls
- شطت نواهم بشمس في هوادجهم
- عزمت على قتلي بغير تحرجI have resolved to kill myself without hesitation

- وإني لأغضي الطرف عنك جلالة
- وبكفه بادي النحول كأنهWith his hand showing thinness as if he
- وبهماء مثل البحر خرقاء لا ترى
- وتأملت من بين الدموع كأنما
- وترى الأحرف في أسطارهاYou see the letters in its lines
- وتنعمت في خدود صباحAnd You Basked in the Cheeks of Morning
- وجارية جري السفين تسوقها
- وجدتك دهرا ثانيا شعرك الدجى
- وخرساء إلا في الربيع فإنهاSilent, except in spring when it is

- وليلة راقبت فيها الهوىI watched the passion that night
- وليلة لمة تبقى العيونOne Lonely Night the Eyes Remain
- وما استلأموا حرزا ولكن لأمهمAnd They Did Not Ask for a Fortress, But For Their Mother
- وما عجبي إلا من الفرس إنهمI am amazed by none but the Persians, for they
- ومحير اللحظات تحسبه لحيMoments Perplexing, You'd Think Them Alive
- ومشتمة للأرض حتى كأنهاAnd She Walked the Earth as if
- ومهند أخذ العيون بمائهMa Wa al-Ayoun bi Maa'ih
- يا ثوبه الأزرق الذي قدOh bluest robe that once did grace
- يا حبذا الفلج المعسول ريقتهOh Cheeks whose sweet flow
- يا خدود الحور في إخجالهاCheeks of the Houri Blushing with Modesty
- يقود حنود الجو والعرش والثرىHe leads the hosts of air, the Throne, and earth
- يهنيك ما زادت الأيام في عددكYour Days Have Increased in Number, Congratulations
- يولي ويعزل من يومهHe appoints and removes as he wills
