His lips have been sweetened with never-ending honey,

Yet in his languid eyelids is naught but sleepiness.

Thus sleep slays what is in his eyelids,

While he revels in the softness of his pillow.

I speak, but before I can complete praising his beauty,

Praise of his beauty has come to an end through your messengers.

He is the pearl, coral, full moon, and twilight,

He is the rose, lily, branch, and curved eyebrows.
