مجدا لأبناء الزمان رفعته

Glory to the sons of the age, you raised it

إليك أدير وجهي والفؤادا

أفقدونا المحاكم المحكمات

They have deprived us of righteous courts,

من مبلغ عني الإمام

Arise, for the Imam has sent me

سوف تسحب بالأرجل

You will be dragged by the feet

البرج هذا حل فيه الهزار

This tower, in which a thousand are confined

لحاظك لي للعين مزورة الطرف

Your glance at me is falsely coy

ستقرع بعد اليوم من ندم سنا

After today you will regret years of sleep

الموت دون إساءة الأخلاق

Death without moral decay

يا حماة النيل مجدكم

O guardians of the Nile, your glory

ألا يا رجال العلم لا علم عندكم

O men of knowledge, you have no knowledge,

أرى قلبي على أسما

I see my heart in the sky

خاف السقوط فلاذ بالتخريب

He feared falling so he took to destroying,

هانت علينا النائبات وهولها

The vicissitudes of fate have worn us down,

مولاي لم لا تنصفوا داركم

You have built your house completely

اليوم يحسن بي أن أسمع النغما

Today it is good for me to hear the melody

إلى أين بالأبطال تسعى بهم شدا

Where are you leading the heroes with such force?

لله درك فارسا مغوارا

Oh Allah, show them a daring knight

ساد في ذا الزمان كل خسيس

The base prevailed in this era, every lowly one,

استصرختك لحقها قحطان

I implored you to defend Qahtan's right

لاعج في الحشا تلظى لبعد

The poet of Qatar, sensitive of speech, lofty of thought

لك رفق فنان وصولة مارد

You possess the gentleness of an artist and the might of a demon

أيها الساخر الذي غره الدهر

O you who mocks, deceived by fate

ترى عدن للحر كالوخز في الجفن

Aden seems to the free like a thorn in the eyelid

يا نجوم هذي السماء العليه

الله أكبر قمت فينا منذرا

قوموا لوحدة مصر قومة واحد

صاحب الحكمة أودى
