1. The base prevailed in this era, every lowly one,
And every leader became submissive.

2. The band of hypocrisy has become mighty,
While those of merit are in sorrow and kissing feet.

3. O children of our nation, rise up, for your sleep has been long,
Among contempt and misery.

4. So rise up, all of you, with the heart of a man who
Does not fear death or the descent of fate.

5. We knew you in war, between determination that elevates life,
And ferocity,

6. And you endure injustice imbibing it, even if
It was a drink that dims the souls.

7. O children of our nation, is there no youth among you who truly angers
For his Holy Lord?

8. A man is only by his intentions, even if he wears
The clothes of justice and piety,

9. Looking to the people's interests, inclining
Towards good, repudiating falsehood,

10. And by spending money in the way of good,
All souls will be gratified.
