Sleeplessness, so no sleep, no rest, no

Reunite me as pilgrims reunite

بِئسَ الهوى

The one who in his life has never felt

دار

Though you have often railed against me

وحْي

When I died of love, I said: I know

سُلامى

We speak poetry in lies whenever

نصف حكاية

Images search in the mirror for images

سهاد

No sleep comes, though all the world's at rest

هجير بارد

My chest tightens, and the world closes in,

عراقنا

Do not ask me, questions have wearied me

عمّان

O Amman, how the lands have narrowed with people

فجر الخليل.. إلى الشهيد الطفل محمد أبو خضير

Herds of betrayal...and the streets are asleep

قلبُ قزح

I tormented my soul with love unworthy

سُكوت

You want to kill me? No, I will not die

كِرام

You denounced the noble ones, and poured out speech

أُنثى

A playful female, luxuriating in affection

ماء

Relieve me of you, for you have weighed down my chest

الأعمى

I am the blind man whose stick was broken

نعم

If you were a rose, I became the vase

دعوة

Still, though wronged, be not o'erweening; soon shall come

ضُرَّة

She turned her back on love once

مُدى.. إلى مهند حلبي

Be angry, for neither Arab nor foreigner is with you

أشبهني

I say: compare me to this face of mine

نديم

In life I'm a boon companion of kings

ثقة

He who you trust betrays you

كذِب

It's a lie, no snow, no rain

أمشي معي

If it is love, as you claim and profess

قطيع

The ram says: The flock has wearied me

هلّا سألتَ.. إلى سميح القاسم

Did you ask the land about their memory,

اعترافات مؤجّلة لعنترة العبسيّ

Night befriended me, so it became my companion

خمسون

Fifty passed... I did not want to bid her farewell

غِيضَ الكلام

O friend, is there a poet who has strayed with us

مراهَقة

She returned, now grown, my little girl

ماذا عليَّ؟

What fault is mine if I dwelt in her abode

دلاء الحزن

عرائس

بلا ظل

أفول

خلود

جِيَف

ليلى

عروبة الأحواز

أبي في ذمّة الغياب
