فأصبحت والليل مستحكم

ولما عصيت العاذلين ولم أبل

وقال أخو جرم ألا لا هوادة
لا يعلم اللامعات اللامحات ضحى
وبوارح الأرواح كل عشية
قالت لتعذلني من الليل اسمع
بجرو يلقى في سقاء كأنه
تأبد من أطلال جمرة مأسل
لعمري لقد أنكرت نفسي ورابني
