1. Do not get angry at a man for his wealth,
And for the generous spending of his money get angry.
١. لا تَغضَبَنَّ عَلى اِمرِئٍ في مالِهِ
وَعلى كَرائِمُ صُلبِ مالِكَ فَاِغضَبِ
2. And if poverty strikes you, hope for prosperity,
And to the One who grants wishes turn hopefully.
٢. وَإِذا تُصِبكَ خَصاصَةٌ فارجُ الغِنى
وَإِلى الَّذي يُعطي الرَغائِبَ فَاِرغَبِ
