- وكم لي بالجزيرة من خليلMany Friends I Have in the Island

- ولم أر فيما تشتهي العين منظرا
- ومذ خيمت بالخضراء داراSince I pitched my tent in the green oasis
- ومذ خيمت بالخضراء دارا
- ومعندم الوجنات تحسب أنهGardens Are Disbelieved
- ونهار أنس لو سألنا دهرناIf we asked time to bring back a day of bliss
