وَشادِنٍ ذِي غَنَجٍ دَلَّهُ
يَروقُنا طَوراً وَطَوراً يَرُوع
A citrus tree lush and green
Delights us time and again alarming
يَقذِفُ بِالنارَنجِ في بِركَةٍ
كَلاطِخٍ بِالدَمِ سُودَ الدُّروع
It casts oranges in a pond
Bloodied armors, dark and jarring
كَأَنَّها أَكبادُ عُشّاقِهِ
يَتبَعُها في لُجِّ بَحرِ الدُّموع
As if they were the livers of its lovers
Who follow in the deep sea of tears
