- إذا ذكر الأمير نعى الأميناIf the prince is remembered, the trustee has passed
- إذا شئت أن تلقى خليلا معبساIf You Wish to Find a Frowning Friend
- إذا كنت في عصبةIf I were in a group
- آذنك الناقوس بالفجرِThe Bell Rang You at Dawn
- أرقصني حبك يا بصبص
- أرى الآمال غير معرجاتI see hopes not ascending
- أسفا عليك سلاك أقرب قربةMy Friend, so Near, yet so Far
- اسقياني وصرفاGive me drink and turn aside
- أسلفت أسلافك فيما مضىI forwent your ancestors in times past
- أصبحت من أسراء الله محتسبا
- أطل حزنا وابك الإمام محمداMy Prince is Sad and Cries for Imam Muhammad
- أطيب الطيبات أمر ونهي
- أعزي يا محمد عنك نفسيMy Friend Muhammad, I Console Myself For You
- أُكاتم وجدي فما ينكتمI silently conceal my love, for it cannot be concealed
- ألا ليت شعري أبدر بداAlas how I wish my traveling companion,
- الراح تفاح جرى ذائبا
- ألست ترى الصبح قد أسفرا
- ألست ترى ديمة تهطلAlastu Taraa Dayman Tahṭal
- ألم يرع الإسلام موت نصيرهAlam Yar'a Al'iislam Mawt Naseerihi
- إلى خازن الله في خلقهTo the Keeper of God Among His Creations
- أما تقرأ في عينيCan't you read in my eyes
- أما تنفك باكية بعينDon't you ever stop crying with an eye
- أما في ثمانين وفيتهاEighty Years Later
- أما ناجاك بالنظرِ الصحيحِAma Najaka Bilnathar Alsahih
- أمين الله ثق باللهTrust in God
- إن من أطول ليلٍ أمدا
- أنا الخليع فقومواI am the vile one so arise
- أنت طودي من بين هذي الهضابYou're my mountain among these hills

- من لصب لا يرعوي لملامThe mornings I don't worry about blame,
- نديمي غير منسوبMy Friend Who is Unlike Any Other
- نشبي وما جمعت من صفدMy Love Has Gone, And I Have Gathered Nothing From Safra
- نصير ليس المرد من شأنهThe Defender Is Not One to Rebel
- هبوني أغض اذا ما بدتGive Me the Greenest When She Appears
- هززتك للصبوحِ وقد نهاناI shook you awake at dawn, though

- وجدت ألذ العيشِ فيما بلوته
- وشباب المرء عارية
- وصوت لبني الأحرارVoice of the Free Sons
- وعواتقٍ باشرت بين حدائقٍ
- وكالدرة البيضاء حيا بعنبرٍ
- وكالوردة الحمراء حيا بأحمرٍ
- وماذا يفيدك طيف الخيالWhat does the fantasy shadow avail you
- ومسترق للحظ لم يظهر الجوىStolen Moments the Sky Did Not Reveal
- ومما شجا قلبي ويسكب عبرتي
- يا أمين الله لا خطة ليO God's trustee, I have no plan
- يا بن الإمام تركتني هملاYa ibn al-imam taraktanee himlan
- يا حانة الشط قد أكرمت مثواناO tavern of the riverbank, you have honored our gatherings,
- يا خلي الذرع من شجنيMy Friend, Let Go of My Sorrow
- يا خير أُسرته وإن رغمواOh Best of His Family Though They Begrudge
- يا خير مستخلف من آل عباسO best successor from the family of Al Abbas
- يا صائد الطير كم ذا
