وافلتهن المسحلان وقد رأى

سقى الله قتلى بالفرات مقيمة

ألم ترنا على اليرموك فزنا

سقى الله يا خوصاء قبر ابن يعمر

ونحن حبسنا في نهاوند خيلنا

لحرب شمرت بلوى قديس

منعتك من قرني قباذ وليتني

ألم تسمع بمعركة الهبود

كم من أب لي قد ورثت فعاله

ولقد شهدت البرق برق تهامة

بدأنا بجمع الصفرين فلم ندع
