دم محب ملكنا
The blood of our beloved king
هني نقي زهي بري
Pure, bright star of high esteem
له على الكل منه
He has favor over all from Him
يا حسنه من ملك حسن
O beauty of a good king
سباني غزال في المحاسن مفرد
Where e'er I roam, a graceful deer appears
تعالى تعالى إله الورى
Come, come, God of all creation
أحدث عن أخلاق أسعد مالك
I speak of the morals of the most fortunate ruler
أمير عظيم رحيب غنى
A great noble generous prince
لعالي الجاه والقدرِ
For the one of high status and worth
بحب آل محمد
With love of Muhammad's family
زكي المجد والقدر
Pure of glory and worth
هناء فضل ممجد
Joy's excellence glorified
أوفى صلاة زكيه
Purest prayer of purity
أعظم به من إمام
The greatest of leaders
وعلى عهد إن ظفرت بقربكم
I loved you more than myself
وعلى من آواه منه بساط
He shelters the noble and the scribe whose deeds are accepted,
وعني خبر الجميع بأنني
All shall hear how I yearn for the land
بأسعد مالك وفي العهود
With the happiest of rulers, and in covenants
أوائل الفتح فتح
The beginnings of the conquest are a conquest
همام جليل قد سما بمحمد
A noble and exalted one has ascended with Muhammad
سلطان عدل وفضل
A sultan of justice and grace
ولنقل للحب الذي
Let us speak of the love that is mine,
ولولا ما أرجي من لقاكم
If not for my hope of meeting you
بحمد الله تفتح الرسائل
With God's praise, messages open,
أسعد الخلفاء والأمراء
The happiest of caliphs and princes
حق حق الهنا بأسمى إمام
The right, the right is ours with the highest imam
لله أسعد وقت
The happiest time for me
مدائحي لعلاه
My praises for its most High
على أرجائه مني سلام
Peace from me in its corners abounds
بنصر إمام حل مغربنا الهنا
With the victory of an Imam, our Maghreb was solved,
من السعادة أسعد
Happiest of the happy is
منى النفوس الهنا وراحة البدن
The souls' wish and the bodies' comfort
السعيد من سعدت
Blessed is he whose rule
يمن الهناء بطيب له همم
The breath of bliss exudes a fragrance sweet,
ولاية ملكنا وافي العهود
The rule of our faithful king
ووحق الوفا وحفظ العهود
By truth and covenant I've kept my part
سوابق النجح جالت
The precedents of success wandered
رائق الأمداح والغزل
The best of praise and love poetry
يمن غرب نصر ملك أوحد
Good fortune from the west, victory of the one true king
عظمت نعم من أمير سعيد
Great bounties from the Prince Sa'id,
بدائع الألحان والأوزان
The melodies and meters so ingenious
جاد مدحي لإمام فاضل
My praise flows sincerely for a virtuous imam
محل حمد مؤبد
A place of eternal praise
أكرم بملك باهر إمداده
Honored with a splendid kingdom, abundant its supply
خلافة قد سمت مفاخرها
A caliphate whose glories have reached
لطيب الأنفاس والأرج
With fragrant breath and pleasing scent,
وافى كتاب حبيب
The book of a beloved has arrived
قول علي لحارث عجب
Ali's words to Harith are wondrous
شمائل ملك سما شرفا
The features of a noble king are sublime
محل ود وعهد
The abode of love and promise
طال في زهو وفي طرب
أجل مالك جلي الوصف
اسعد بنيل الأماني من ملك
لأحكم ملك زكي جلي
سيد مدحه حسن
أمير سما الملاك بالدين والعلم
تبدى بأفق الملك بدر سعادة
يمم حمى تاج الملوك محمد
رئيس حبه بالقلب يأوي
عليه من الحب طول الدوام
هذا وإني للعود محافظ
هذه أحرف حب حمدك
