1. By truth and covenant I've kept my part

١. ووحَقِّ الوفا وحفظِ العُهودِ
ما تخلفتُ عنكمُ عن صُدودِ
2. Except that I am weak and poor today
My state and time assist me not to bide
٢. غير أني ضعيفُ حالٍ ووقتي
لم يُساعد بوجهتي وَوُرودِ
