- دعا طرفه طرفي فأقبل مسرعاMy friend called me, so I went to him quickly
- دعتني إلى وصلها جهرةShe called me openly to meet her
- ذنبي إليه خضوعي حين أبصرهMy sin to him is my submission when I see him

- رب ليل أمد من نفس العاشقMany a night whose breath dragged on
- رهينة أرواج وصوب رعود

- شادن وجهه من البدر أوضا
- شعر حي أتاك من لفظ ميت
- ظبية كالهلال لو تلحظ الصخرThe Gazelle Like the Crescent Moon If You Gaze Upon the Rock
- عدمت جهالتي وفقدت حمقيI lost my ignorance and missed my foolishness
- كرات عينك في العدا
- لا تظن الذي جرى
- لا تنكرن رحيلي عنك في عجلDo not deny my departure from you in haste

- نشرت غدائر شعرها لتظلنيI spread my locks of hair to shade you

- يا نسيم الريح في السحرO morning breeze, so like the sun and moon
- يزيدني ما استزدت من صلته
