- إن التقية بالثرى قد أدرجتIndeed, the pious woman has been enfolded in the earth,
- بشراك قد وافى البشير بمجدهGlad tidings! The herald has arrived, bearing his glory.
- بلغ القوم نصر ذوي الهممTell the people of the victory of men of high resolve—
- حمدا لرب قد أراح عبيدهPraise be to the Lord who gave respite to His servants
- سلطاننا المحمود في أوصافهOur sultan, praised for his qualities,
- فازت بنو مارون فانشدهم وقلThe sons of Maron have triumphed; recite to them and say:
- فريد العصر مولانا المفدىPeerless in this age, our lord for whom we would give our lives,
- قد سرني فرع النباهة والأدبEnglish translation unavailable
- قصر بدا روض الحبور أخاهA palace appeared, with the garden of delight as its brother,
- لا تحزنوا يا آل قوم عشيرتيDo not grieve, O kinsfolk of my clan.
- لما بدا بدر العلىWhen the full moon of eminence appeared

- هلك الشقاء مقدما ومسبقاThey perished in grief, one after another
- وافى السرور وصح ترجيح الأملJoy has arrived, and hopeful expectation has proved true,
