A palace appeared, with the garden of delight as its brother,
A palace appeared, brother of the garden of delights
By lineage, and one baptized in joy as its father.
Genealogically, and baptized with happiness, its father
زرناهwe visited it نجليwe polish للصداfor the rust أوor نجتديwe seek
زرناه نجلي للصدا أو نجتدي
أنسwarmth التهانيcongratulations منfrom رحابthe broad expanses فناهits courtyard
أنس التهاني من رحاب فناه
We visited it to clear away rust, or to seek
We visited it to hear the echo or to converse
The warmth of congratulations from its spacious courtyard.
The intimacy of congratulations from the expanse of its art
ولذاكand for that reason لماwhen أنthat شكىcomplained of قلبيmy heart الضناwasting illness
ولذاك لما أن شكى قلبي الضنا
أرحتI gave rest إيوانthe hall الخلاصdeliverance شفاهhealed it
أرحت إيوان الخلاص شفاه
And so, when my heart complained of wasting illness,
And therefore when my heart complained of distress
I gave it rest; the hall of deliverance healed it.
I set free the hall of salvation as its remedy
