أتى الإقبال بالأمن الوفير

أتى الإقبال بالأمن الوفير

فكن فرحاً وذا بصرٍ قرير

فكن فرحاً وذا بصرٍ قرير

Good fortune has come with abundant safety.

The good fortune has brought abundant security

So be joyful and serene of gaze.

So be joyful with clear insight

وزال الهم والأتراح عنا

وزال الهم والأتراح عنا

وبتنا في ربي روضٍ نضير

وبتنا في ربي روضٍ نضير

And worry and sorrows have left us,

Worry and sadness have left us

And we spent the night on the hills of a verdant garden.

And we live in the Lord's beautiful garden

فطب نفساً وزد للَه شكراً

فطب نفساً وزد للَه شكراً

أتى الفرج القريب من القدير

أتى الفرج القريب من القدير

So be glad at heart, and give God more thanks.

So rejoice your soul and give thanks to God

Relief, close at hand, has come from the Almighty.

The near deliverance has come from the Almighty

وكل الناس تطرب من سرورٍ

وكل الناس تطرب من سرورٍ

بعلم هلك ذياك الوزير

بعلم هلك ذياك الوزير

And all the people thrill with joy

And all the people are delighted with joy

At the news of that minister's death.

Knowing the death of that evil minister

لحاه اللَه من طاغٍ تجنى

لحاه اللَه من طاغٍ تجنى

بجورٍ طال مع ظلمٍ خطير

بجورٍ طال مع ظلمٍ خطير

May God curse him—a tyrant who acted unjustly,

May God destroy him, the tyrant who oppressed

With prolonged oppression and grievous injustice.

With long injustice and grave tyranny

فلا يرحم له الرحمان روحاً

فلا يرحم له الرحمان روحاً

هوت في النار عاجلة المسير

هوت في النار عاجلة المسير

So may the All-Merciful show his soul no mercy,

So the Merciful will not have mercy on his soul

Which plunged into the fire, swift on its journey.

Which descends swiftly into hellfire
