- أبى الهم إلا أن يكون معي معيSorrow has refused all but to be with me—with me,
- أفتيان قومي وجهوا الهم كلهO young men of my people, direct all your resolve
- الحمد لله الحكيم المانحPraise be to God, the Wise, the Bestower,
- أيا سيدا مازال يولي جميلهO master who has never ceased to bestow his kindness,
- أيا فاضلا فضله بين الأنام جليO virtuous man, whose excellence is clear among mankind,
- أيا نجل إبراهيم تطلب واعظاO son of Ibrahim, are you seeking an admonisher?
- أيا نجل الأماثل آل بكرO scion of the noblest of the house of Bakr,
- ثم تقرب لمولاك العليThen draw near to your Lord, the Most High,
- ثناء عظيم في علاك قليلGreat praise is little beside your lofty rank.
- حمدا لرب قاهر منانPraise to an All-Subduing, Bountiful Lord,
- دع الناس إن الناس توسي وتؤلمLeave people be, for people bring sorrow and pain.
- دعوا سالفا من ذكر ليلى ومن هندLeave aside past talk of Layla and Hind,
- ديار اللوا عادتThe lands of al-Liwa have revived
- ديار لوا نجد أتاها سعودهاTo the lands of Najd's district came their good fortune,
- زيادة مجد كل يوم لكم تجريGlory increases for you every day
- فخرت بباهر مجدك الأقطارThe lands have taken pride in your dazzling glory.
- كذا الرزء إذ أودى فتى العلم والذكرىSuch is the loss, now that the noble man of learning and remembrance has died.
- كذبت أربا حين أنكرت السماEurope lied when the sky was denied
- لقد طال لبثي بالحمى لم أكلمLong indeed have I stayed in the sanctuary without speaking,
- ليهن بني الإسلام فجر من الهدىMay a dawn of guidance gladden the sons of Islam,
- ما للمحب على الصدود قرارThe lover finds no rest amid rejection.
- هنيئا لأرض الصالحية كلماJoy to the land of al-Salihiyya! Whenever
- ولقد عجبنا والعجائب جمةAnd indeed, we marveled—and marvels are many—
