- أراك امرأ في ظلم قومك جاهداI see you as a man struggling in the darkness of your people
- أراني كلما قاربت قوميWhenever I approach my people,
- أرب يبول الثعلبان برأسه
- أزرة خير أم ثلاثون منكم
- أصابت العام رعلا غول قومهمThe Loafers Have Afflicted Their People This Year

- ولا زائل أزجي الجياد على الوجى
- وما روضة من روض حقل تمتعت
- ومن قبل آمنا وقد كان قومنا
- ونحن ضربنا الكبش حتى تساقطتWe struck the ram until it collapsed
- يا أيها الرجل الذي تهوي بهO you who the willful maidens desire
- يا جسر إن الحق بعد حصلهBridge, Truth is yet to be attained
