- أفدي الذي زارني من بعد هجرتهI long for the one who visited me after his estrangement
- أقول ولاح لي خذ وصدغ
- ألا أنعم بنارنجك المجتنىAlaa an'am binaarinjik almujtana
- ألا فليوطن نفسه كل عاشقAlas, let every lover be grounded in himself
- الله يعلم كيف سرىGod Knows How it Will Unfold
- ألم يأن لطيف ان يعطفا
- الموت في صحف العشاق مكتوبDeath is written in the scrolls of lovers
- إلى الله أشكو دخيل الكمدTo God I Complain of the Extinguisher of Embers
- إلى كم يملك المشتاق صبراTo How Much Does the Longing One Have Patience
- إليك أشكو عيونا أنت قلت لهاTo you I complain of eyes that you told
- إن الأمور على الأقدار جاريةThings Follow Their Ordained Courses
- إن كان لم يخبرك قلبك أنني
- أنت عما حل بي في شغل
- أهيف عبل الردف صفر حشاهThe crescent glows bright as the evening star descends,
- بكل والدة تفدى وما ولدتWith Every Birth She is Redeemed Though Not a Mother
- تبلج هذا الصبح أو كاد يفعل
- تضمن فوه درا من ثنايا
- توالت فتوحات وأدرك ثارConquests succeeded and vengeance was achieved
- تولوا وأسراب الدموع تفيضTurn Away While Tears Overflow
- جاء بكمثرى جني غداRoses in the morning light
- زماننا منقلب فاسد
- سرى طيف من أهوى فهل هو مسعدي
- شربنا مع غروب الشمس شمسآ
- عذبت قلبي ببخلكYou Tortured My Heart With Your Stinginess
- عرفت لها طيفا على النأي طارقاI dreamed of her from afar
- فديتك ما هذا القلى والتجنبLet me gaze upon you, why this avoidance?
- فيه لي جنة وفيه نعيمIn it I have a garden and bliss in it
- قالت سعاد وقد جد الوداع بناSaadah said when parting became inevitable between us
- قبلت وجنته وقد ظهرتI kissed his cheek when it appeared
- قد أنصف السقم من عينيك وانتصفاIllness Has Been Fair to Your Eyes and They Have Been Fair Back
- قمر حييت بقربه
- كأنما الورد الذي نشرهRoses spread by your hands
- كتبت فهلا إذ رددت جوابيYou wrote, so when you responded to me
- كيف لم يشتعل بنار اشتياقيHow Did My Longing Not Set Me on Fire
- لا بذاك الدفو تفديك نفسيNot with that intensity would I ransom your soul
- لا فرج الله عنيGod Grant Me Relief
- لحظات من شبيهات الدمى
- لنا في كل مترح وصوت
- لولا أبو الفرج الهمام لماWere it not for Abu al-Faraj al-Humam,
- مزرفن الصدغ يسطو لحظه عبثا

- وساق كمثل الغزال الربيبLike a Graceful Gazelle

- وعيشك مع علمى بأنك تمزحAnd Your Life with My Knowing That You Joke
- وكنت عزيزا لو عصيت خلاعتي
- ولقد وجدت الصبر بعدكمI found patience after you
- ولنا مغن لا يزال
- ومقبل كفي وددت بأنهI And My Coming Hands Wished It Were
- ونارنجة بين الرياضِ نظرتهاAn Orange Among the Gardens She Glanced at It
- يا ذا الذي كل يوم
- يا سيء القدرة كم ذا الجفاO one of ill fate, how long this estrangement
- يا غزالا صاغه الصائغOh Gazelle, Formed by the Artisan
- يا من إذا عذت في ليلي وكثربتهO you whose memory, when night's long hours assail me
