- أرى سفها ولو جاء العذولI see foolishness even if excuses come

- أسكان نعمان الأراك تيقنواA Dwelling of Na'aman Al-Arraq Made Certain
- أعد منعما بالعفو روحي إلى جسميReturn my soul appeased with pardon to my body
- النجم أقرب من مداك منالاThe Star is Closer to You Than Your Aspirations
- أما الزمان ففي يديك عنانهAs for time, its reins are in your hands,

- أما الفراق فقد عاصيته فأبىThough I defied separation, it refused

- أما ومساع لا نحيط لها عداThe favors you have shown are beyond all count
- أما ومناقب عزت مراماWith noble traits that raise aspirations aloft
- أما وهوى عصيت له العواذلMy Heart's Desire I Disobeyed
- إن العلى المعيي الملوك طلابهاKings Seek Her, the Sublime, Unattainable
- إن الفريق مذ استقل مغرباAn Khan alfareeq mith istaqala maghriban
- إن لم أقل فيك ما يردي العدى كمداIf I do not say of you that which destroys hostility forever,

- حاشاك أن تسلب الأيام ما تهب

- خير الأنام لشرهم إحكاماBest of Mankind in Enduring Their Evil Deeds
- دعوا القول فيمن جاد منا ومن ضنا
- دل على المجد من إليه سعى
- دم بالصيام مهنأ ما داما
- ذد بالعزاء الهم عن طلباتهMy Friend's Condolences Eased His Worries
- سبقت ففز بعظيم الخطرHe Led, So He Succeeded in Great Risk
- سل المقادير ما أحببته تجبAsk destiny for what you desire, it will answer.
- سل عن فضائلك الزمان لتخبراAsk Time About Your Virtues So It May Inform
- سما بك دهرك فليفتخرDarkened Sky, Boast of Your Time
