بنيت طاعتي باتباع

I built my obedience by following

قالوا سفيه لصرفي عنهم بصري

They called me foolish for turning my sight away from them,

قالوا ليّ اركن لأبواب السلاطين

They told me, "Wait at the doors of the Sultans,

فسارعوا للعلم أجمعينا
