- قدك مني صارم ما يفلMy resolve towards you is firm, it does not waver,
- لنا صاحب مولع بالخلافOur Friend Who Loves Controversy
- له حنجر رحب وقول منقحHe Has a Spacious Throat and Refined Speech
- له عنق مخضرة مد ظهره
- لو قيل للعباس يا ابن محمد
- نأت دار سلمى فشط المزارYou're Lodging at Salma's Abode, Whose Graveyard Lies Desolate
- هلا أتيت بقمري أربيهMy Friend, My Moon, I Will Raise Him
- وحية مسكنه الرمالA snake whose home is the sands
- يا ربنا رب الشمال والصباO Lord of the north wind and the morning breeze
- يرون الموت دوني إن رأونيThey See My Death If They See Me
