1. We beseeched you when fate turned against us
O mighty and overwhelming enemy

2. By the right of Ibn Khansa, steadfast in crises
Grant me the banner of pride and protect our souls

3. So steadfast, I mean Ibn Khalid, bring me
The finest of bounties that cannot be attained by he who committed treason

4. And ask Alam about Thabit tomorrow
Samir, messenger of relief for our sorrows

5. So steadfast, I mean son of Amr, and Thabit
Became a son of jest, grant us our wish

6. And Tha'labah named Ibn Hatib guided us
To you, so praise be my Lord, praise be to you

7. And Tha'labah named Ibn Amr, we resorted
To a hidden hero, my God, and guide us

8. So Thaqif I pray, my God, by their right
Named Ibn Amr, so the settlements we reached

9. And Tha'labah named Ibn Unmah
