1. Love took abode, ascended, and did not lament me,
And it made me graze at night wherever I grazed.

2. And it disturbed me in the neighborhood; I hoped for the union of
The one who weakened me, made me yearn, and consumed my heart.

3. And it exhausted me until I became in love
Like the crescent of doubt grazing my imagination.

4. And it melted me until I almost melted in love
With a glance and a tooth I chew my example.

5. And I still graze in excursions flags
So that my limbs revive from what weakened me.

6. And my soul has gained the melody of her beauty
Suddenly, as I paved the way to union and visitation.

7. So frequent, my brother, manifest obedience to God
Standing for some of the right and yearning guiding.

8. And frequent the invocations without limit
And bringing a heart sincere in worship.

9. And purify hearts from doubts that deter
From counting, so examine the motives.

10. And hold yourself accountable for breaths; whoever
Is remiss in them is naked of virtue.

11. Guard your limbs and protect them from vileness
They will preserve you in the two abodes if you are vigilant.

12. And roll up the trains of your resolve, enchanted by your night,
And rise in the darkness of night to graze wishes.

13. And keep your eyelids awake in continuous prayer
The meanings of prayer are medicine for the heart.

14. And how much have your eyes taken their share of sleep?
So give the eye its rights however they may be.

15. And awaken hearts, for it is the ultimate purpose
Observing the king’s secret in every state.

16. And beware being discouraged from the night, for it
Is wasting half of life, and half is wasted in vanity.

17. Do not hesitate to mention your Lord and pray
Upon the center of lights, the spring of our life.

18. And restrain the tongue of evil from every believer
And do not let it meet any elevation from evil.

19. Be silently pious, remembering, devout
Loving, grateful, infatuated with the sublime.

20. Patient with the suspicion of fate, submitted
To what tribulations He shows us from above.

21. Forgiving of lapses, ignoring when
The faults of brethren appear, healing.

22. With a sound heart your state ends in which
Your heart becomes illuminating, not distracted by it.

23. And keep good relations with religion and clay; do not be
One who cuts off relations or is neglectful.

24. And devote your worship sincerely to your Lord, struggling
To preserve yourself with effort, not hypocritically.

25. And be faithful in your habits; feel with purity
Turning entities with which there is affinity.

26. The beginnings of prayer times preserve them
In the first row with weeping eyes.

27. And maintain them with humble limbs
And heart and infatuation with yearning bent.

28. And watch the God of the Throne constantly so you may preserve
The etiquettes and not be distracted.

29. Jealous, He sees in the heart other than Him in time
Channels of happiness that weaken me.
