Of An-Nai'm, and Az-Zura, and Al-Fayd

21. Like the dwellers of Al-Hira's land, its plateau
And meadows, and Al-Munhani and Al-Mubrid

22. Like the inhabitants of At-Tanees and Al-Lawa
And Al-Hila Al-Fayha between Al-Farhad

23. Sweeter than those past times that went by
With their enduring fragrance never to fade

24. In them I flung the arrows of my eyelids in battle
As if I and as if she were both charging ahead

25. A gazelle frolicking with beauty and swaying
Like a moist verdant branch gently wavering

26. Borne by the scented breeze in the garden
As if from its beauty in the crown jewel bed

27. A tempting, slaying woman
You promised but time has drawn us apart

28. Primping between musk, ambergris and musk
And amber and oud of Hend

29. With teeth like the blades
That file down every tender sprig of roses

30. An amber-skinned beauty whose only cups
Are disciplines of torment upon stripes incurred

31. She sang and so enchanted, then displayed
Her coquetry in her movements to and fro

32. She appeared and revealed from her wondrous beauty
A lightning that melted the stubbornness in my bone marrow

33. She veiled herself and gifted from her beauty's fringes
A rose that revealed tender passion and love distraught

34. Her seductions dissolve the lions, leaving
No jewels for lovers in her generous nature

35. The allure of her beauty in her beauty has tempted
As if she and as if we were alone together
