Of pearls like white brocades

And gazelles narrate their swaying grace

3. The eyelids of the lover kept vigil
Telling of the stars in their gaze

4. With tender words that made me ache
So I was cured by the healer's cup

5. The meadows were fragrant at dusk
When shadows grow long and diffuse

6. Flower buds opened in their sleeves
Bewitching, as the meadows blossomed

7. Pomegranate branches exhaled their scent
At dawn like musk deer's pouches

8. Concealing a secret halal pleasure
Like downcast eyelids in their modesty

9. They captivated hearts
On days of concurrent yearnings

10. The youth bloomed radiant
With joy at the mention of Mustafa in harmony

11. I said the minarets in their coldness
Surpassed meadows in tranquility

12. Hifa alluring
To every sober mind

13. Houries of paradise glanced at their palaces
And inhaled their perfume like musk deer

14. The noble moon in its sun-like glory
Healed all, like Saturn in its calm

15. Mercury rose like a flower
Whose noble orbit blossoms, O time past!

With its shade the Buraq* at nightfall
