1. The adversary has no way to you
How can he win when success is with you

2. You are mighty - who dares resist you transgresses
While he is abased, submissive and torn

3. Through you the deprived in faith are denied what
their hands have earned, while the graced are granted providence

4. Time has passed and shed the blood of those
who opposed you - factions and seceders

5. Loyal to you as if sent in Ma’rib
To you they came as they yearned

6. So grace us - time is your obedient slave
Some servants may be ungrateful

7. Like a gang who rose against you thinking
time has forgotten them and will not awake

8. You drowned them in your sea of generosity before
Now each struggles in their misery

9. If you honour the ignoble, you invite only
blame and dues

10. So too the noble - if humiliated, will only
rise higher in nobility and composure

11. For I granted them life by your grace -
a gift befitting your generosity

12. They mimicked Ka’foor in their ingratitude
adorned by blessings around their necks

13. Their efforts went astray, their endeavours failed
their hearts will forever quiver

14. Destiny is ally to those you opposed
and who can withstand destiny’s adversities

15. If you wished you could have from the start commanded
them - but the noble one is merciful

16. A people who combined seeking a matter in
ignorance - and their matter caused separation

17. So they separated and met by their own hands what
they intended - thus the scheme failed to mature

18. They overreached with threats - but fell short
when confronted - their palms and markets

19. You stood firm in adversities as if
you had a band of aides from the substitutes

20. You chained yourself in resolve and courage
for the chained soul is free

21. You tested loyalty - how far from truth
is the claim that all loyal ones are truthful

22. And you recognised those dressed in false loyalty
when their guise was torn

23. So delight in that which consoles them - while you
race ahead to prosperity

24. The world smiles before you as if
its flourishing face were free by your grace

25. The Nile shimmers before you - its face
smiling - its palms applauding

26. On its banks emeralds for their fertility
studded with carnelian

27. If its turbulence did not bring benefit
and benefit is what you seek - it would please

28. Egypt drank from it by your shade goblets
that intoxicated - as if with pure wine

29. It flows by those restored and as if
the water of life flows free before them

30. Unveiling before them everlasting lights of your justice
so their day has no evening

31. A justice by which after their efforts concluded
Kisra, Anushirwan and Al-Farooq

32. And you have the most beautiful character - unlike
that which necklaces of carnelian and agate contain

33. A refined nature - like an untainted breeze
infused with musk in the breaths of dawn

34. An essence you were stamped with - not an imitation
while you rise above the judgement of similarity

35. And a piercing flame of an ardent intellect
whose light dispels the darkness of tribulations

36. And inspires conviction faster than the visible
proof before the mind can fathom

37. To God belongs praise - and aptly so for what
you have attained in a might by which people are humbled

38. Scion of the Lofty Muhammed and thus
the branches - aromatic if their roots be aromatic

39. A might founded of old which
dynasties make pilgrimage to in reverence

40. You established it aloft in praise and glory
of lineage - and that is supreme in honour

41. Fortune bound to you - while troops of your enemies
are eternally scattered

42. So in their spite may those who hate you surrender themselves
while for so long the loyal one has freely offered himself
