2. And of the vicissitudes of fate, your matter is indeed,

4. And if we sought vengeance for him from death,

5. And if we reproached fate for its act,
We knocked on deaf ears, no one translates for it.

6. So we returned, having despaired of fate ever fulfilling,

8. We lost in the son of the homelands a venerated limb,
Like a body from which a hand departed, so it is crippled.

9. Indeed today in losing him we are a family in mourning,
And our homelands are in grief for him a place of bereavement.

10. One like him is mourned, and alas none can resemble him,
A lad pure of heart, hand, and mouth.

And his smiling face like a sheathed blade.

12. Raised in the cradle of knowledge and eminence, he suckled
At the teats of wisdom and excellence since weaned.

13. And he cultivated the farm of knowledge and eminence, so he reaped
From both matters a share and gain.

14. And he plunged into politics, unsheathing
A sword of reason that was never marked by blemishes.

15. And he roamed in literature with the perception of a connoisseur
With it he disciplines morals and makes them upright.

ูŠู‡ุฐู‘ูุจ ุงุฎู„ุงู‚ุงู‹ ุจู‡ุง ูˆูŽูŠู‚ูˆู‘ู…ู

16. He was an exemplar for men and a model
With what the lofty demand and dignity require.

17. Of far-reaching purpose, stout of heart, refined,
Among people gracious, dignified.

For the newspapers, yearning for him was kindled,

23. While around him for books, an army clad in armor.
He challenged his father in life and in demise,
