1. The noble lady of the Banu 'Ubbad has passed away
And was laid to rest in a shrine adorned with honor

2. She lived to please God with piety and righteousness
So she now enjoys bliss and bounty on high

3. She left behind her noble sons in lamentation
At a grave watered by their copious tears

4. And the chronicler chants over it
The death of the devout is noble in God's eyes
