4. Abu Ya'la, the places of honor are yours!
You were a man of glory and virtue.

5. Upon you be your Lord's peace in gardens
Where eternal bliss that never ends is found

6. Take patience, O Hashim's excellent ones
All your deeds are fair and fine.

7. God's Messenger is forbearing and sublime
Speaking by God's command, he says

ุจุฃู…ู’ุฑู ุงู„ู„ู‡ู ูŠู†ุทู‚ู ุฅุฐู’ ูŠูŽู‚ููˆู„ู

8. Oh, would there were one to convey my words
To Liyรข'! Henceforth days will revolve.

9. Ere this day they knew and tasted
The shock of our encounters that assuage all hurts

11. That morn when Abรป Jahl lay slain
With vultures hovering and wheeling o'er him.

12. And 'Utbah and his son fell together
And Shaybah whom the sword, bright-polished, slew

13. And we made Umayyah a plaything, mocking him
With a camel's guts wrapped round his neck.

14. The Bani Rabรฎ'ah were suing Hind
But from them nought remains but remnants.

15. Weep on, O Hind, and spare not your weeping!
For you are one whose tears flow freely down.

16. Desist, O Hind, from any show of gladness
At Hamzah's fate, for your might is brought low!
