1. The Messenger has never ceased to say,
And the best is what the Messenger said,

2. You O Ali are from me, O father of purity
Just as Aaron was from Moses the Prophet

3. But he is not a prophet after me
So you are the best of people in my eyes

4. And you are to me like the button on my shirt
And there is no escape for whoever opposes you

5. You are my brother and you are my son-in-law
Married by the One to whom the matter belongs

6. The Lord of Highness to Fatima the radiant
The lady of guidance, the best of women

7. The first of creation who came asking for her hand
Coming and going between me and you

8. And said your God has decreed O Ali
That the maiden marries Ali

9. So He adorned the gardens in the best adornment
And the maidens rejoiced in tranquility

10. And the shining lights emanated
And the angels of the seventh heaven lined up

11. And I was tasked by God's command to ask for her hand
And give it to them as they had asked

12. Then Allah decreed to the Gardens
To be adorned with branches

13. So it rained jewels and finery on them
Until they grazed on it fully

14. So whoever gathered the most from it was proud
Of excelling over the others in what he had gained

15. So whoever came asking was turned back, for Allah decreed
That she would be the bride of the Chosen One

16. And He granted me the two grandsons through you
They are the adornments of the Throne like two earrings

17. So praise be to Allah for what He has granted
To the five embodiments, the people of the cloak

18. They are safety for whoever takes them as allies
For with them faith is perfected

19. And they call upon the One for whom they yearn
To protect from the Fire those who seek refuge

20. And they guide the people to righteousness
And success in the beginning and the end.
