1. Join the repentants on the day of festival
With a drink from an aged wine-skin

2. With an ancient Khusrawani cup
For the feast is a Khusrawani feast

3. And spare me the raisin liqueurs
For the ways of raisin makers differ from mine

4. I drink it and claim it forbidden
And hope for the pardon of an indulgent Lord

5. While they drink it claiming it lawful
And those two are sins upon the wretched
