1. O one whom as long as I have breath I have a right,
You for whom my poem flows with the heat of breath,

2. By God, O joy, the ink flows blue
With tears I spilled from my torment onto parchment

3. I won't say "I love you" until with my tears the dawn breaks
And before a friend feels me, people notice

4. How long? Your life is stolen
Without you and without union, a door and guards

5. The sun in my forehead is extinguished and sweats
While you in the cool shade have breeze and forgetfulness
