1. Oh days we spent intoxicated,
While time sleeps heedless and neglectful,

2. Between leisure, bliss, and clarity,
And talk as smooth as silk threads spun.

3. Sweet, gentle speech, words soft and kind,
An accent sugared, singing bird-trilled.

4. They charm hearts and minds-a witty grace,
Since first she shone, illuminating the land.

5. Where is that garden, beautiful and serene?
Delightful, luminous-where are its teal pools?

6. She is an idol, her breast a polished
Ivory urn with ambergris poured over it.

7. Her cheek's a fragrant wine, her saliva camphor,
Her tresses myrrh-branches that cascade.

8. With an alluring, fair brow like a crescent moon
Crowned by her hair's branches, raven hued.

9. It's no wonder I sold moral guidance
When she sold it before me, that crafty seducer.

10. She bewilders my mind with passion-
A puzzle that my wit cannot decode.

11. Her face mirrors this universe-in it
The meanings of beauty flow and eddy.

12. She revives souls from their dormancy,
Like sunlight, curing even the blind.

13. From her eyes, stars shine out, flaming arrows
That offer my liver exquisite pain.

14. How many nights together, while revelry
Winked at us, crafted excuses to witness.

15. As she whispered, drunk on love and wine,
Sighing in rapture, prostrating in worship.

16. Blaming her feet for their dizzying grace,
While he, fixed in place, could only applaud.

17. She leaned down to the earth, lifting his soul,
So that his cheek met her praised kiss.

18. When her bracelet grazed him, it stole his breath,
His hand drew back from that electric touch.

19. Her kiss shaped a glowing, gleaming imprint-
With tears, were they gems, bejeweling the mold.

20. In his core, her absence burns agony
Like a furnace whose flames will never die out.

21. While her luminous, radiant face grows brighter,
Like embers in water, ever-glowing.

22. Then she shows a coyness, which signifies:
"Let's be one whole, not two separate souls."

23. He wishes for true union, like Adam once grasped,
While she circles his Eden, longing to enter.

24. Passion pulls them together, yet chastity
Stands guard, observing propriety's bounds.

25. Though physically parted, their spirits are one-
In separation, their longing has no end.

26. Oh angel guarding me in my love-mad state,
For you I have a debt I can't repay.

27. You, my soul's honor, my chastity's shield
Where none can be shielded, but by the Grave.

28. If only humanity formed a pact
To renounce all shame, by oaths sworn.

29. Can you envision anything sweeter than a love
Whose passion burns, yet is never profane?

30. Or see any path holier in God's sight
Than a love that avoids all sin's traces?

31. Rapture raises them to glory celestial-
Exalted, the ascent ever spirals upwards.

32. For there, life is pure, its wine eternal,
How can such a love not bring joy?

33. Chaste love is paradise-with it, the wise
And virtuous reap blessings everlasting.

34. People play with brief pleasures, heedless while
Life turns bitter-a fleeting, mournful game.

35. But true loyalists are fathers of fidelity-
For them, felicity eternally blooms.

36. The love of the noble uplifts and exalts-
For the exalted, love of the noble exalts.

37. A ladder to ascend, for the Lord of Creation,
To the station where He alone holds sway.

38. A lofty, noble square, an enduring pride,
A meadow where bliss and glory never fade.
