Forsaking the sweetness of life without farewell.

6. You fell silent until you became estranged,
After you were the most affectionate and tender.

7. You disobeyed the words and covenant of advisers
Who counseled you in youth as listener and obedient.

8. So why, to what end, how far
Have you saddened a heart that became compliant to you?

9. A gazelle passed me, glancing,
So I rejoiced, then fell prey.

10. And I hoped to seduce him, for his sake,
To frolic with him, altogether.

11. I flirted, complimented, intrigued him,
I sang to him, and saw agreement was quick.
