1. O night that passed by Egypt joyfully
The quintets were composed just to see the like of it

And the orbs of horizon fell and disappeared

10. The schools then shone with illumination
And the arches adorned with their bows

11. The aspects of security appeared smiling
But our independence is Abbas

12. The East the cradle of light became bright
And the West dispelled the night of gloom

13. Urbanization then appeared flourishing
And security established and thrones founded

14. Glory consolidated then appeared lofty
And truth ascendant and dominant

15. The pages whitened and pens emboldened
In its expanses and paper mobilized

16. Honor is a meadow and integrity a guard
Effort a tent and people planters

17. A light upon a light and ample grace
And a prohibition that shines as if a measure

18. I grieve for the glorious East afflicted
After it had been the thoroughbred a groom

19. It goes backwards because of its groom
It is the trodden and the West the trampler

20. He who abandons beds succeeds his family
While the East slept soundly like an owl

Out of incapacity and obsession won its revival

34. Guidance strayed from its children from guided paths
Strangely the wicked inspired its righteousness

35. You revived it yes so it became darkened
After cups had overflowed with wine

So hope lived again in its people
