1. Leave, O Arab, the market of Ukaz
And the embellished poetry and words,

2. And return to the era of conquest, for it
Is more worthy of preserving dignity and defenses,

3. There is no good in the Quran unless
A sword that drips over the necks of the stubborn protects it,

4. You complain of humiliation but do not revolt with zeal
And you soften before the truth for the wicked,

5. Until you slumber heedlessly, surrendered,
And say those are luck's caprices,

6. For man has only what he endeavors,
And the times call for awakening and vigilance,

7. If only you would learn or ransom with a group
That gathers around the pulpits of preachers.
