1. Tell the Franks, after their unjust rule,
Will you allow a look from the visitor?

2. And if you pass by Algiers, tell it,
Why not mention the affliction of Abdelkader?

3. That hero, who took refuge with his sword,
And terror was in the heart of the treacherous enemy,

4. If you were defiant, then the wrath of Muhammad,
Or if you were patient, then the forebearance of the Chaste,

5. Always keep the covenant of Arabism and guidance,
And trust in the All-Powerful of the victorious army,

6. And remember the martyrs in the war that
Took every mujahid and cave dweller,

7. So if you lost the Prophet's trust,
What would a believer meet from an infidel?
