8. Yet it still yearns for its whims,
When war rouses the flash of blades.

9. With patience, forbearance, and acceptance I restrain it,
For its intoxication will fade after the drunkenness.

10. Between the contention of truth and falsehood it has surrendered
To the prohibition I forbade when it insisted then acquiesced.

11. I stripped myself of all doctrines, beholding
Religion, history, and mankind,

12. And saw naught but embellishment and deceptionโ€”
Such is my view after prolonged consideration.

13. Passionately enthralled by the esoteric beauty,
I transcended with a glance.

14. How can one like me behold what I beheld,
And match my night with the night of ascension!

15. My odes fall short describing the bounty from above,
My words fail to capture the sublime reality.

16. Would that I were blind, silently pondering,
Would that I were not so sharp of mind!

17. Then my heart would have sufficed with memories of its bliss,

18. No honor exceeds what I attained, no words
Can describe the supreme divine grace.

20. My passion for it is as old as my love, except
I dispelled the gloom of my doubt with the dawn of truth.

22. In my heedlessness or neglect, guidance came to me,
And my slumber was wakefulness.

23. My dream shone like the morn from the gloom,
Illuminating my heart with splendid light.

24. I awoke amidst fragrance and light, oblivious,
And my fervor soared towards the rays.

25. How many arrows of light darted through,
And I opened my heart that became like an arched niche!

26. How sweet was the cup I drank,
Which intoxicated me, from which I then awoke!

Perfection that unveils itself in every form.

28. On the sublime horizon, atop His Throne sat
The God of all creations, of eternal power.

29. The clouds of Gloriousness veiled His Light,
The Lord of the Throne transcended every form.

ุตูŽุจุงุฆุญู ุฌูŠู„ู ุฌูู…ู‘ูุนูŽุช ููŠ ุตุจูŠุญุฉ

30. As I stood awestruck, powerless, bewildered,
I heard a call through the clouds' veil.

31. I inclined towards the voice, bowing down prostrate,
And likewise the pillars bowed down in awe.

32. He spoke, His words accompanied by splitting thunder:
"I called you, now listen, you who are called!

ู„ุฃู†ูŠ ุฃุฑู‰ ุงู„ุงุณู„ุงู…ูŽ ุฑูˆุญูŽ ุงู„ุนุฑูˆุจุฉ

33. Be a warner among people and giver of glad tidings,
Convey to all Muslims My behest:

ู„ุฏู‰ ุงู„ุนุฑุจูŠู‘ ุงู„ู‡ุงุดู…ูŠู‘ ุดูุงุนุชูŠ

34. Kindle for them two fires for war and guidance,
With your heart among their encampments like a minaret.

35. Recite to them martial poetry, hurling
At every zealous heart sparks of zeal.

ุชุตุจู‘ุช ูุคุงุฏูŽ ุงู„ุตุจู‘ู ู…ู†ุฐู ุงู„ุตุจูˆู‘ุฉ

36. Your poetry is revelation amidst ignorance,
As the Qur'an was revealed amidst the Age of Ignorance.

ูฃูฆ. ูˆุฃู‡ุฏู‰ ุฅู„ูŠู‘ ุงู„ู†ูŠู‘ุฑุงุชู ูˆุฅู†ู…ุง
ู‡ูุฏุงูŠุชูู‡ู ููŠ ุงู„ุญู„ู…ู ุฃุบู„ู‰ ู‡ูŽุฏูŠู‘ุฉ

37. Take courage O Walid, you are My messenger,
And conveying is the essence of messengership.

38. I am Al-Mustafa, sent with the truth and guidance,
While they corrupted every verse of My scripture.

39. It is the religion and the criterion, revealed in truth
To reform their world and prevent evil.

ูฃูฉ. ูุฃุจุตุฑุชู ุฌู†ุงุชู ุชู…ูŠู„ู ุบุตูˆู†ูู‡ุง
ูˆุฃู†ู‡ุงุฑูู‡ุง ุชุฌุฑูŠ ู„ุจุฑุฏู ูˆู†ุถุฑุฉ

40. If it does not better their affairs,
That is due to intervening ignorance.

ูคู . ูˆููŠ ุงู„ุจุงุจู ุฑุถูˆุงู†ูŒ ุชุดุฑู‘ููŽ ุญุงุฑุณุงู‹
ุนู„ูŠู‡ู ู…ู† ุงู„ุฏู‘ูŠุจุงุฌู ุฃูŽูุฎุฑู ุญู„ู‘ุฉ

41. Say: O servants of God, make peace with your adversaries
Either by propagating My faith or implementing My way.

ูคูก. ูุญูŠูŠุชูู‡ู ู…ุณุชุฃู†ุณุงู‹ ุจู„ุจุงุณู‡ู
ูˆู‚ู„ุชู ุจุฃุญู„ู‰ ู„ู‡ุฌุฉู ู…ูุถุฑูŠู‘ุฉ

42. Consider its spirit, preserving its essence,
To match the good in every circumstance.

ุฃู†ุง ุนุฑุจูŠู‘ูŒ ู…ุซู„ูู‡ู… ุฐูˆ ุตูŽุจุงุจุฉ

43. For religion and worldly life, work and compete
To be praised in both abodes for excellent striving.

ู„ูƒูŽ ุงู„ุฎูŠุฑู ูŠุง ุงุจู†ูŽ ุงู„ุฃูู…ุฉู ุงู„ูŠุนุฑุจูŠุฉ

44. Your strength is in it, and its strength in you,
So seek refuge in it with dedication and a verse.

ูˆุญู…ุฏุงู‹ ุนู„ู‰ ุญุณู†ู ุงู„ู‡ูุฏู‰ ูˆุงู„ุณู„ุงู…ุฉ

45. You were mighty when you were honorable men,
And in your disgrace lies the key to humiliation.

ูคูฅ. ู‡ู†ุงู„ููƒูŽ ุฌู†ุงุชูŒ ุญูŽูˆูŽุช ูƒู„ู‘ูŽ ุทูŠู‘ุจู
ูˆุทูŽูŠู‘ูุจุฉู ู„ู„ุตุงู„ุญูŠู† ุฃูุนูุฏู‘ูŽุช

46. Return to the era of conquests,
When you established the greatest empire on Islam.

ูคูฆ. ู…ุดู‰ ู…ุคู…ู†ูŒ ููŠู‡ุง ูˆู…ุคู…ู†ุฉูŒ ู…ุนุงู‹
ุฑููŠู‚ูŽูŠ ู†ุนูŠู…ู ุฎุงู„ุฏูŽูŠู†ู ู„ุบุจุทุฉ

47. What is the strength of Islam but a strong
Caliphal state with powerful Muslims?

ูคูง. ูˆุทุงูุช ุจู‡ุง ุงู„ุฃู…ู„ุงูƒู ู…ู† ูƒู„ ุฌุงู†ุจู
ุตููˆูุงู‹ ูˆุฃููˆุงุฌุงู‹ ู„ุฐูŠ ุงู„ุนุฑุด ุฎุฑู‘ุช

48. Say to all Muslims: gather
And safeguard the dignity of the Hashimite state.

ูคูจ. ูˆุญูู‘ูŽุช ุจู‡ ุฌู†ุฏุงู‹ ุชุบุทูŠ ูˆูุฌููˆู‡ูŽู‡ุง
ุจุฃุฌู†ุญุฉู ูˆูŽุฑุฏูŠู‘ุฉู ุฒูŽู†ุจู‚ูŠู‘ุฉ

49. It mercifully calls you, so respond to its call,
Die for a right or live with honor.

ูคูฉ. ูˆู„ูƒู†ู‘ู‡ุง ู„ู… ุชุฐูˆู ู‚ุทู‘ู ูˆู„ู… ุชุญู„
ู„ุฏูŠู…ูˆู…ุฉู ููŠ ุงู„ู†ุถุฑุฉู ุงู„ู‚ูุฏูุณูŠุฉ

50. Does not God's Messenger deserve rights and sanctity?
And his Family tendering the clearest proof?

ูฅู . ูุณู‚ูŠุงู‹ ู„ุฌู†ุงุชู ูŠุฏูˆู…ู ุฑุจูŠุนูู‡ุง
ูˆูŠุฎู„ูุฏู ุฃู‡ู„ูˆู‡ุง ู„ุฑุบุฏู ูˆู†ุนู…ุฉ

51. For his nation is the sweeping favor over mankind
In spreading guidance from page and tome.

ูฅูก. ู…ู‚ุงุนูุฏูู‡ูู… ุฎุฒู‘ูŒ ูˆุนุงุฌูŒ ูˆู„ุจุณูู‡ูู…
ุญูŽุฑูŠุฑูŒ ุนู„ูŠู‡ู ูƒู„ู‘ู ูˆุดูŠู ูˆุณุจุบุฉ

52. Their blood flowed from sword and Qur'an
To establish a kingdom built strongly.

ูฅูข. ูˆุชุญุฏูŠุซูู‡ูู… ู‡ู…ุณูŒ ูˆุชุณุจูŠุญูู‡ู… ุตุฏู‰ู‹
ูˆุชุณู„ูŠู…ูู‡ู… ุชู†ุนูŠู…ู ุตูˆุชู ูˆู„ูุธุฉ

53. Sons of Ishmael, the best of lineages,
For from it came God's Messenger, best of creations.

ูฅูฃ. ูุญูŠู‘ูŽูŠุชูู‡ู… ู…ูุณุชุจุดุฑุงู‹ ูุชูŽุจุณู‘ู…ูˆุง
ูˆุฑุฏู‘ูˆุง ูุฃุญูŠุงู†ูŠ ุฌู…ุงู„ู ุงู„ุชุญูŠู‘ุฉ

54. To it belong the rights of sovereign and caliphate,
And it was usurped only by discord and evil.

ูฅูค. ูˆู‚ุงู„ูˆุง ุณู„ุงู…ุงู‹ ูุงุดุฑุจู†ู‘ูŽ ุฑูŽุญูŠู‚ูŽู†ุง
ุญู„ุงู„ุงู‹ ูˆู‡ุฐุง ุนู‡ุฏู ุฃู‡ู„ู ุงู„ู…ูˆุฏู‘ุฉ

55. Do not violate the Prophet's pact and its pact,
And be innocent before God as people of probity.
